About Us
The Vizzaccaro Agency started in 1963 with Raymond Vizzaccaro being hired by the Allstate Insurance Company. His insurance career began in downtown Detroit and then moved to the Sears and Roebuck store in Macomb Mall in Roseville, Michigan. After relocating the agency to a few other Metro Detroit locations, Raymond Vizzaccaro decided in 1989 to partner with his son, Paul Vizzaccaro, and establish the agency in its existing location in Eastpointe, Michigan.
After being partnered for 22 years, Raymond Vizzaccaro sadly passed away in 2001. His son, Paul, now runs the agency. Paul Vizzaccaro graduated from Lakeshore High School (St. Clair Shores, Michigan) and went on to Western Michigan University, graduating in 1983 with a degree in Marketing and Finance. After a year in computer sales, he started a communications equipment company called WCT/Detroit, distributing facsimile and telex equipment. The opportunity to enter into the insurance business and partner with his father came in the 1989 opening of their Eastpointe office. Paul holds insurance licenses for Property & Casualty, Life and Health, Series 6 & 63 security licenses. In addition, he has attained many awards during his insurance career: Honor Ring, National Conference and Chairman's Circle, along with many charitable awards.
